Eligibility

At Hiscox, we consider who we insure to be as important as what we insure. That means we treat each of our clients as individuals and we consider every claim on its own merits. By dealing only with the most discerning clients, we are able to provide extraordinary levels of cover & service. However, there are occasions when the Hiscox product is not appropriate. Should this be the case, we will be happy to refer you to a Hiscox-approved broker who should be able to find you an alternative quote.

The Hiscox direct service does not provide cover for:

• Jewellery and watches over £75,000 in total
• A non-UK postcode or Non-UK resident
• Bed & breakfast, guesthouse or other commercial let
• Thatch or 100% timber construction
• Previous subsidence
• Previous flooding of property
• Permanently unoccupied property
• Current or planned building works over £50,000
• Anyone who has had three or more claims in the last three years
